Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a three thousand year old practice that has been proven both clinically and scientifically to be effective at treating many conditions. It involves the insertion of very fine needles into the skin. Through the insertion of needles, the body is encouraged to balance, stimulate, and redirect the energy or "Qi" in pathways called meridians.
Following Traditional Chinese Medicine practices and diagnosing, you can expect to have your tongue and pulse diagnosed during your visit. The practitioner will feel both wrists' pulses to assess the energy in the body for where it may be deficient or "stuck" so a unique set of acupuncture points can be selected for you. The inspection of the tongue allows insight into your underlying Traditional Chinese Medicine diagnosis too.
